CORRECTIONS ARE THE USEFUL ONES

What is worth writing about

⭐ Corrections, above everything. A hall closes for restoration, a garden changes how it admits visitors, a path is shut after a typhoon, a market shop that had traded for a century finally goes. If you have just been and something here did not match, that is worth more than any amount of desk research.

⭐ Especially useful: anything about the special openings and the reservation-only gardens. Those arrangements change, and they are the part of this guide most likely to go stale.

What this is not for

It is not a booking service. This site sells nothing and books nothing, and cannot get you a room, a table, a permit or a seat.

It cannot tell you what something costs or when it opens: no price or opening time appears anywhere on this site, because the operator is the only source that is right on the day.
